I’m (in)famous for not liking to give ready-made event/holiday cards. I prefer to make them myself. One Christmas I thought it would be nice to hand out airbrushed cards tailored to the recipients. I started with an image for Jess, who had just gotten a foal. I found a Christmas-type image that I liked with a similar breed of horse (all grown up), got permission from the photographer, and began painting using the markings of the foal.

The size of the piece and time-constraints became an issue. I started rushing and pushed the work to the point where finishing it would have required a lot of corrections and time. Oh well. It was a good plan…just started too late.
