Rec’ing on…Where’s the NCAA Love?

OK. Maryland doesn’t get a #1 pick. Like I said in the last message, no big surprise. One thing that does make me happy is that they are in the Albuquerque region…meaning that I’ll get to see them (if they make it far enough).
The big surprise? How much belly-achin’ Kara Lawson and Stacey Dales-Schuman did about Tennessee not getting a #1 slot. Ladies…yes, the Vols had a killer RPI schedule, and they beat a ton of ranked teams–BUT, they also lost to an unranked team. Twice. Once on their home court! Sorry ladies, you can’t reconcile the toughness of schedule with the shameful losses to teams that shouldn’t have even made a game of it. One time, maybe. Twice…nope…second seed time.
