The Stork Takes Its Time
Dec 2nd, 2008 | By CJ | Category: SnippetsI’m sitting here, metaphorically twiddling my thumbs, awaiting word of Scarlet’s* little project: giving birth to little Troeesha. Her labor should have been induced about four hours ago as I write this, so the contractions are likely well under way at this point.
I’d have gone done to the hospital to spend the waiting time with everyone, but Mary said to wait. I expect that I’ll be called sometime after the birth…though I think I should be called no later than Scarlet going into the delivery room. It still takes time to get there and find the right area of the hospital, y’know?
Honestly, I’m thinking about just going over there anyway…sitting here isn’t really accomplishing me anything. On the other hand, I don’t want to be one more body that people feel they have to pay attention to. Scarlet has enough on her plate at the moment, she doesn’t need to worry about me loitering about.
