Temporary Outage

From 10:40am to 12:00pm on October 26, 2009, TIB experienced an outage that prevented the site from being accessible. Obviously, that has been fixed.

For the geek-minded: the site’s .htaccess file got modified by the software at some point (no, I’m not shifting blame…I haven’t touched the file in recent days). Unfortunately, the modification was killer and subtle. It took a while to track down. This is a problem that does crop up from time-to-time. Usually it’s an easy and quick fix. This time it took a little longer than usual. Ah, the joys of computers, where one missing new-line in code can ruin your whole day.
