The Connor Wars F0322 – “No One Is Ever Safe”
Jan 28th, 2010 | By CJ | Category: TTSCC
Here is the twenty-second installment of Terminator – The Sarah Connor Chronicles fanfic that picks up where the second season finale left off. As I mentioned before, I was so enthusiastic about the possibilities presented when the season ended that I just had to keep it going regardless of what happens with the suits at FOX.
The first thing you’ll probably notice is that I changed the name of the series to Terminator: The Connor Wars. I think that more accurately conveys what this project will cover as well as it being a lot easier to say.
As I disclaim on the title page, this is just meant to be a bit of fannish fun in the long spirit of the various fan communities. I’m not intending to step on any toes.
No One Is Ever Safe
The season finale.
Skynet isn’t done with John Connor just yet. Also…Sarah Connor returns for her final mission. Even if she’s weak, she will never stop…because they never do.
(Again, I want to remind everyone that there are still more scripts to come. The season finale is NOT the end of the story.)
(With the size it is, and if it didn’t do it automagically, the PDF seems to read easier if you zoom to 66.7% and then scroll the text horizontally so it’s centered.)
Previous episode: F0321 – “Battle of Avila Beach, Part 2″
Next episode: F0401 – Chronicle
Oh, and before I get emails about this. The PDF file I generated has the setting to allow people to print out the script turned off. If you are having trouble with the plug-in, click here.

Hello, there’s some confusion at the end, I don’t know if it was intended or not. For example you wrote “Summer Glau (O.S.)” (I think you mean Cameron or Weaver or Allison? Is she still alive?) and “Allison’s eyes” (you meant T-Allison or they’re really Allison’s eyes?).
For the rest…… WOW, it seems that more or less we have to remain hanged up on a huge cliffhanger on each TSCC/TCW seasons…
Damn you bastard (of course intended in a good way)!
Btw, IMHO you made a really good job with your story. Maybe there are something I’ve appreciated less then others but in the end I’ve enjoyed a lot reading it and hoped ’til the end it would became a TSCC-movie for the TV or something (let’s keep hoping
).
Best wishes,
Andrea.
Two hours of work time was reconsidered (have to catch up later) for greater purpose – read the season finale.
It’s going to take some time while the whole ep will settle down in my mind but have to say already that you’re becoming quite fond of cliffhangers. It’s in turn becoming more and more stressing for me (and may be other readers) to wait another couple of weeks for continuation.
And I just can’t keep myself – I HAVE TO ASK – How the hell Summer Glau gets there?! Timetraveled to imagined world?
@kirirur Didn’t see your comment – havent refreshed page. It’s amasing we’re talking the same
It was very intentional that I put the actor’s name and not the name of one of her characters…it’s a cliffhanger, after all. Any confusion or ambiguity is deliberate on my part.
I think I mentioned somewhere that I do, very much, enjoy writing cliffhangers. However, I don’t like over-using them. It just happened that a few episodes toward the end of the season required it for story purposes to ramp up the tension. The season was always going to end like this because I’ve always known I’d complete the story. I was never going to leave you hanging off the cliff for very long.
Very long? Long? Not so long? You better hurry.
The Tower Is Tall But the Fall Is Short. And we’re hanging there, you know?
What kind of endo are you if you can’t dangle there for a couple of weeks?
Got me there.
“It was very intentional that I put the actor’s name and not the name of one of her characters…it’s a cliffhanger, after all. Any confusion or ambiguity is deliberate on my part.”
Good cliffhanger! TOK Allison, Allison, Cameron, Summer… All we need is River.
Benneth is not welcome yet?
Andrea: I’m even more confused….
Da proof! Works!
I have enjoyed your continuing take on the series! I read the first fifteen episode when I found your site a couple of months ago and have awaited each episode since with anticipation. I signed up to leave you a “Thank you,” and I hope you continue for a long while. I don’t mind cliffhangers. It not like yours are three or four months from resolution like the network would have done with a finale. Thank for all your hard work and I look forward to the new season!
Thank you, @gypsycdk, for reading but also for taking the time and effort to let me know you’ve enjoyed it. As the story heads to its conclusion, I hope I don’t let you or any of the others in the Connor Wars audience down.
@itypograf – I’m totally down with Bennett popping up.
It’s surely not a place here, but I really liked to read (or hear, or see, or whatever) your opinion on Dollhouse and particularly Ms. Summer Glau role. Maybe there will be a blogpost some day?
I might write up a short little something, soon. In short, though, I thought the first ep was a little over-the-top at times, but they reined it back in after that nicely. The backstory really helped — never underestimate the necessity of context. I did like that, if only for a few moments, Summer got to play a girl instead of someone who was “off”.
Shout out, too, to Amy Acker who, like Summer, always seems to bring her “A” game in all Whedonverse endeavors.
Hey CJ
(forgive my spelling)
I’ve been reading your blogs and Connor Wars fan fiction for a while now, and it’s awesome. I’ve just been wondering how far you’ll take this project? I see you’re going for a fourth season, which is great, but are you going to keep your story going even when a new season of TSCC comes on? Assuming they do make another that is. I’d read and watch both, but it would still be helpful to know some outline for the future.
My main reason for commenting, which I rarely do, is while sitting in my VCE health class a crazy thought came to my mind which ended in me taking away nothing from my class that was educational. Terminator Books. Yes, I’ve done some homework and know that other books have been written, but they all seem to be running away from the movies and the show, going in random directions. I thought, why not novelize the first terminator movie? In paper the first movie would not be exactly the same of course, but faithful enough for us fans, and then, not stopping at the end of the film, start following the story and events of what happened after. Like Sarah learning of the cover-up with Cyberdyne and how they took the chip and the hand. Her ensuing (or I’d suppose ensuing) quest to find wherever they have taken the pieces of the T-800. And not to mention the training and birth of John Connor in the jungle of Central America. Course we know only bits about that, but enough to get a summery of what his childhood with Sarah was like, I mean its fairly evident that he was trained to the bone by his mum, and mixed in with some hard ass people.
Then another book could be made, set around the second movie, and could include John being taken into foster care and Sarah blowing up a computer lab. The years (or however long) that John “kicked around” and Sarah went mad screaming about machines, and burning skies while being jabbed repeatedly with needles, sounds like an interesting read. Then of course the actual movie (different I’d imagine in literary form) and probably the little bit time after running from the FBI.
This was the original the random idea that got me thinking about the first two movies, to literate the days Cameron was looking for John and Sarah alone, and how at the same time Cromartie was probably doing very much the same. Plus the FBI and the ever vigilant agent James Ellison tracking down the Connors makes for good reading. The amount of different events and near misses they would have with each other as they interacted with the world is phenomenal. I mean, how did Sarah meet and fall in love with Charlie? I want to know. It’s a dream of creative ideas. I mean, think of how many people Cameron probably killed to get information on where John was. And we could possibly find out more about what she did in her future, just before she went back. Then there’s Cromartie, whose method of searching I’d imagine, would parallel the way Cameron looks for John, just minus the intentions once found.
And you have Sarah and John playing a cat and mouse game with the FBI as the terminators hone in, Ellison tracking Sarah’s every move, and her trying to keep John safe, thinking she beat Skynet all those years ago.
Even typing this I can imagine the things they’d do. You would have the storylines from the first and second season too, which, would have to be cut and pasted a lot, as the TV version with a terminator showing up every second day or suddenly a character and subplot just disappearing wouldn’t work so well I’d think. Including the quotes from the series is a must, same with many key scenes of course. The direction the books would take after the ending scene of the second season is weird, and I thought your work would be something great to see, or just as good to wait until another season is made and work off what the television series shows and doesn’t show as it progresses.
But, a problem remains. I am not sure how copy rights works with all these things, but I’d imagine its needlessly complicated. From other books that have been written it seems that the right to use the story lines can be bought, rented, or something or another like that. But that cost money.
I have no clue why I felt like sharing this with you. Maybe I thought you’d keep it in the back of your mind, and then when I am older I’ll see a copy on the shelves of a book store. I’d do it, but I am not a writer, yet. I am trying but my plate is full with VCE and my other novel. If my idea has already been tried, or talked about, then I just look like the weird kid that came late to the discussion, but I’ll risk it.
On another note, Summer Glau should really read this. I bet she’d love it… if only some one knew her e-mail and sent her a link. I’d love to see her reaction to this Fan Fiction. Keep up the good work!

“think of how many people Cameron probably killed to get information on where John was” – how nice, isn’t it? Think this will be my sweet dream tonight …
Ian, as far as the novelizations and copyright go, an author just needs the (legal) blessing of the rights holder to create a derivative work. Of course, with that blessing also tend to come strings, but such is life in big-time media. As for me doing novelizations…well, I’m a better screenwriter IMHO. (I’ll touch on this in the season 3 thread in the forum.)
There are definitely a lot of stories to tell in the Terminatorverse. Unfortunately for me, the time for telling them for free is winding down.
@itypograf – LMAO!
Yeah, too bad.
Lol, having Cameron in a dream has happened to me, she threw me off a building… but imagine just how would you react waking up with her at the foot of your bed.. And don’t say run and imbrace her. Because we all know what would happen… John would get sulky. Or you’d die. Either way i’d laugh.. unless of course it was me…Lol
But, anyway, looking forward to the next season which I am sure will have heaps of twists, turns. And some how I see John trying to pick between Cameron, and Allsion (or possibly their many clones… T0K Allison, and… Summer) Should be interesting, can’t wait.
Ian, you mean you were mean and Cameron did not take it well?
You were supposed to say: “Hop on and let’s talk!”
Will be blogged under “How to charm a Glaubot” (maybe)
Here, Ian, Summer says she’s sorry.
