I wasn’t planning on posting another blog about how I felt Chicago Sky Head Coach Steve Key utilized (or failed to utilize) rookie Kristi Toliver during the2009 WNBA season. But two things happened:

With the 2009 WNBA regular season now concluded, it’s a good time to pause, reflect, and anticipate.

It’s become clear that the Chicago Sky and Kristi Toliver haven’t exactly had the most ideal of campaigns in 2009. Seems to me like Head Coach and GM Steve Key erred on draft day.

During the 2009 WNBA All-Star game, the 2010 class of inductees into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame was announced. Among the list of six honorees was a woman it was my pleasure to get to know in the ’80s: Former University of Maryland Head Coach Chris Weller.

Now that the All-Star break is at hand, a few quick thoughts about the season so far.
