Please, Correct Your Aspect Ratio

OK, this is driving me nuts. People, attend to your aspect ratios. I’m sick to death of 16:9 (widescreen) videos being scrunched to 4:3 (normal). Though it happens a little less frequently, stretching 4:3 vids to fit 16:9 is just as awful.

This is something that’s just killing me…I’m having a devil of a time finding DVD+RW discs that my recorder and players are happy with. Time was that NameBrand-M discs worked like a dream. Now I get disc errors almost all the time when recording.



Taiyo Yuden DVD+R

I’ve lately been using Taiyo Yuden DVD+Rs when I do my DVD recordings. This brand is considered to be the gold-standard, and after using several cake boxes of Shiny Silver 8x discs, I can see why.
