I wasn’t planning on posting another blog about how I felt Chicago Sky Head Coach Steve Key utilized (or failed to utilize) rookie Kristi Toliver during the2009 WNBA season. But two things happened:
It’s become clear that the Chicago Sky and Kristi Toliver haven’t exactly had the most ideal of campaigns in 2009. Seems to me like Head Coach and GM Steve Key erred on draft day.
Having been following guard Kristi Toliver for her four years at Maryland and now at Chicago, I can’t help but wonder if she’s one of those players who just happened to find herself on the wrong team?
Thoughts about the 2009 WNBA first round picks.
There really isn’t much to say about Marissa Coleman’s performance during the game between Maryland and Vanderbilt in the “Sweet Sixteen” game of the 2009 NCAA Women’s Basketball tournament that isn’t covered by, “Wow.”
There are some that forecast a difficult year for Maryland Women’s Basketball. I think they are going to have an easier go of it than Tennessee or LSU, who got decimated by graduation. Maryland still has Kristi Toliver and Marissa Coleman to take this young team back for their second natty.
