On the surface it seems sort of silly to devote so many words to whether or not a fictional robot can feel emotion. Thing is, this fiction close enough to coming reality that we have to ask the questions about AI thought, and what we will do about it.
Several items surrounding the Terminator franchise, specifically the TTSCC edition, have been bouncing around my brain. None of them is really worthy of a full post, so I thought I’d just dump them here.
Time travel can be a very confusing aspect of many stories told on TV, movies, or in print. Paradoxes confound and befuddle. This article might help to explain some of it, or it might just make the confusion worse. Hopefully, it is more of the former.
