I’m still not sold on the idea that Cameron’s chip is necessarily glitchy. Since her CPU was damaged, there is no doubt that she’s been having to work through various conflicts that weren’t conflicts before.

As a vehicle to let us see John Connor (finally), this was the episode. The story itself tied up a lot of loose ends, helped confirm and deny fan speculations, but most of all it revealed, for the first time, that John is bigger than the events he has to deal with.
