Some artists have large studios filled with all the tools and supplies they could need to satisfy their needs. Others have the corner of a room. I’m somewhere in the middle. I have a garage studio for airbrushing and large works. When the weather is either too hot or too cold to be in the studio, I’d move non-airbrushing projects into my office and work on them there. Unfortunately, my office isn’t that big and is doing double duty as a media room and library. As a result, the drafting table I use for much of my work has had to be dragged out and set up special. That’s now changed.
I reclaimed a corner of my office so that I could keep my table set up all the time. Once it was put in place, it was obvious that it was the correct decision. I might even start doing more non-airbrush pieces because it’s no longer a hassle. Prep work, too, for some projects will be easier if only for the fact that I won’t procrastinate because I don’t want to pull out the table and set it up. I’m very excited.
I splurged and ordered a new stool to join the new setup. It should be here in a day or two. It won’t be that long for art to be undertaken, however. I already have work on the table. This is going to be fun.
Quick update… my chair/stool arrived. Very happy. Blank supports beware as senseless acts of art are bound to ensue. Mwahaha!
