8/15/09 – I’ve done no art since April. None. I’ve been writing.

Here’s the thing: Regardless of how well I do with the art, in my head I consider myself, first and foremost, a writer. Since I was compelled to write a continuation of the story we were given with the too-soon-gone Terminator – The Sarah Connor Chronicles, I’ve been 8-tcw-scriptsslavishly devoted to that. I’m writing the third season. As of this writing, I’ve already posted eight teleplays, only fourteen more to go. And then some.

You see, the end of my season isn’t the end of the story. That will come after. How long that will be…I’m not really sure. Needless to say, I think I’m sort of committed until at least Spring of 2010.

During this time I imagine that I’ll have to take a break here or there. Maybe some therapeutic art will be exactly the thing I’ll need to decompress. We’ll see.

If you were a fan of the show, or if you are interested in screenwriting, I encourage you to stop by Terminator – The Connor Wars (TTSCC Season 3) Fanfic Project. Don’t let the fact that it is in script form dissuade you…many people have written to say that it was not only an easy read, but that it was like watching the TV show in their head. Higher praise a screenwriter cannot want.

It has been reported that this project of mine has garnered some interest. Since I can’t really do anything about that, I just keep writing. A new hour-long teleplay every two weeks. As I mentioned, only 14+ more to go.
