This script was conceived, outlined, written, and given a quick polish in about a week. This was an excuse to practice writing at TV speed while I was awaiting word from some Hollywood contacts if I’d get a chance to submit to the series Xena: Warrior Princess. As I was “locationally challenged” (i.e. not living in southern California), I didn’t get that chance. Since I didn’t want the story to go to waste, I thought the fans might like it.

This ep was written early in the first season. I don’t know if it’s the first posted fanfic, but if it isn’t, it’s close to being the first. Gabrielle had not yet met the Amazons, and Aphrodite had not yet been introduced on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys — as a result, the characters are a bit different than what they evolved to be.
